Josue!!!

Hola hola hola!

Well the cold has come back this week.  We were able to emjoy some sunshine for basically the whole week, but today it is rainy and cold. That hasn't stopped our work here though, things are going really well!

We had the baptism of Josue yesterday.  He is a really changed man, and even stuck with it after the missionary who interviewed him told him he failed the interview because of a miscommunication.  But we called President and got it all sorted out and he was baptized!  He even stood up infront of the whole chapel and bore his testimony before the baptism....the gospel does great things.

We have two on date for this sunday.  Marla and Esau.  Marle is doing really well, but her family is not.  We taught them the Word of Wisdom and her mom was strictly opposed...because coffe doesnt wake her up, it puts her to sleep haha.  Esau is the kid of the Family EscareƱo Hernandez that we baptized a while back. He is turning 8, but technically his parents still arent members even thought they have been to church for 3 months straight hahah. So ya that is a tender mercy.

All is well, all is well

20 Months!!!!

Hola hola hola!!

Another one down really quick ha.  Time is flying.  We had a zone activity today and went to the man made river in down town monterrey, it is really pretty and we had a good time. after we ate at a buffet and cleaned the place out.  The restaurant had worldly music on though and I realized for the first time in a long time that there is a real world outside ha.  I have been living in a bubble and I like it.

Josue and Keren got married on friday and Josue is getting baptized on sunday!!  Finally all the hard work and prayers are going to pay off for them.  They really have overcome lots of trials and problems to get to this point, and sunday will be a welcome relief.

Marla is also doing well. We also got her mom to accept baptism, but she said she will never pay tithing or stop drinking coffee......we still haven't taught the doctine there yet, so I am not scared.

Our zone is on fire, have one of the best changes of all time.  We are seeing the lords hand in every aspect of the work and the more we follow the spirit the more of it we see.

Love you all!

Presidente Castillo

Hola hola hola!

Good week down here.  We just got out of the temple and are recharged with spiritual energy and revelation.  Our zone is working really hard, and we are seeing great results, and we are missionaries of the lord jesus christ, so there is not much to complain about.

If there is something to complain about it is the Mexican legal system.  Getting people married here is really hard.  So it looks like Josue wont be getting baptized till next week, but the wedding is on friday!  They have been doing really well with their reading and with the family nights that we have scheduled. And they are starting to see spiritual growth.  We also found a new family this week..the family Salgado.  The mom and dad are pretty hard of heart, but they have a 12 year old daughter that has been devouring the book of mormon and is ondate for the 1st of march!

So this week I finally met someone that served in President Castillosmission in mexico!  We went to the food and started asking about the Hermanos mission and he said that his president was President Castillo!  I got pretty excited and started asking all sorts of questions, it seems like he was as powerful as a Mission president as a stake president!  And he pulled out some sweet pics of the Castillo fam almost ten years ago!

Well love you all!

Super Sunday

Hola hola hola!!

It is wet and rainy here today, but that didn’t take away from a great week of work that we had.  About a month ago president put the goal that we all had a baptism on the first of February...super bowl Sunday haha.  I think that it was the greatest idea he ever had, of course it didn’t even cross his mind that they would take place on the same date, but it made it a lot more fun for me haha.

We had the baptism yesterday of carlitos!!  He wasnt accepting the invitation for a long time, but this week we went and visited his family with one of our recen converts that testified about baptism and invited him to be baptized. He finally accepted on thursday, and by sunday we got him in and out of the water.  The service was really special and the whole family got to participate!

Our zone also had a great week. The missionaries have a lot of great investigators right now, and we are looking forward to a great change. Keren and Josue are doing well. THeir marriage papers should be in by today, so we are looking at like two weeks for their baptism!

Love you all!
