Spring Cleaning
Hola hola hola!!!

Whoo it is hot!! Really hot!  I love the sun down here, and I could not be happier.  We had a good week, with a new family in church, a zone conference and lots of miles on the bici.

Zone conference went really well, we had a nice spirit and the missionaries left motivated to give one degree more.  President put us in charge of his hotel room here in linares, but all the hotels were booked with a convention of a big company, so we searched and searched to get him a room somewhere.  We finally found a little hotel in the city center, but we werent able to see the room before he got there......lets just say he wont be going back hahahaha

We have a new family in teaching. The family caseras!  They were a contact we did at 8:59 last sunday night when we could have just called it a night.  Instead we contacted the dad and he let us in.  We shared a 10 min lesson and committed them all to baptism.   THey are progressing really well and came to church this week!

All is well down here.  Get ready to listen to a profets voice!

Happy Days

Hola hola hola!!!

I hope you guys arent sick about hearing about the rain...because that is all that it has done here for 3 weeks. Today the sun is out in full force, but it has been a while.  The worst part is that my bike splashes mud on my butt the whole day so now my garments look like I have had some bad accidents haha.  However the work is great and the lords love is in full bloom!

We had the baptism of Jordan this week. It was a special experience for him and his entire family....it was also my first baptism in a branch...and lets just say that the organization was a little below par.  That has probably been my biggest challenge so far this change. Everyone here has a very laid back attitude and there is a mysterious "no one" that walks around.  Meaning if something bad happens whos fault was it? "no ones"  If we need a volunteer to come on visits or to clean the chapel he shows up again "no one" haha.  But we are working through it and seeing progress.

Tomorrow we have zone conference and elder barrera and I have be preparing all week. We are going to talk about "good, better, and best" and compare it to being a succesful missionary. Wish us luck!

Oh and Linares is the orange capital of Mexico.....the blossoms are in full bloom!

                21 Months!!

Hola hola hola!!

One word to describe this week...well three....rain and mud.  Yep we made it through an entire week of straight rain, which means the streets turn to mud and the bikes get even more interesting.  The back of all my shirts have a nice line of brown where the tire throws up the muddy water ha.... and I bet Marc Ecco didnt know his shoes also make great brakes, but he has it going on.

It was also a challenging week as far as the work goes.  Our baptism fell on us on sunday morning, and those who were committed did not come because of the rain. However we can see the the lord is building us up and we will be able to see miracles before this change is over. Elder Barrera and I are working hard and I know that the lord has special blessings waiting for us.

Love you all!

Round 2

Hola hola hola!!

Well my whole world has been thrown for a spin...you will never be able to guess what happened with changes......I am with Elder Barrera agian!! Yep haha I am on round two with another comp, this one is a lot different though because we are best friends.  My new area is also the farthest in the mission, a little pueblito called linares!!  There are cows and goats roaming the streets and we are on bikes..the first time in my entire mission!  I really could not be happier, this is a dream change!

This first week has been something else...my butt hurts real bad, and my clothes are super muddy, but my smile is huge.  We have been able to work really hard this week and clear up a lot of errors that the missionaries had in this zone the last couple of changes.  We have been talking to everyone and actually have a baptism on sunday!  It is also my first time in a branch so I got a kick out of the services on sunday....especially the guy that took off his boots and started cutting his toenails.

The Lords work is moving strong, and the the work in Linares just got a little bit more fuel!

Buzzer Beater

Hola hola hola!!

Another change down...wow...this one was fast.  The good thing is that it was the best change for a zone in the history of president swapp! It wasn't without its difficulties, and it went right down to the end, be as zona valle verde we did it!  And it is starting to smell like orange blossoms.....so ya...things are good.

We had the confirmation and ordination of Josue this week and the baptism of Esau.  We had a recent convert do it..Salvador...he was baptized in november and it was awesome to watch him take part.  It did take 5 attemps, but in the end it was successful haha.

So on saturday night at 8:30 I found myself on emergency divisions about an hour busride from my area trying to get one last baptismal interview in.  The problem was that the person wasn't home from work. WE had been by his house about 3 times but we wasnt home yet. So I told my companion we were going back to his house to say a prayer than we would go look for him. The lord answered fast because we passed by after and there he was.  Now we got to the real game, he said he wasn't ready and wanted to wait.  So we started asking questions and following the spirit to find out what was up.. after like 15 minutes of intense searching he bowed his head and said...lets do it.  Woooo!! I almost screamed haha....we had the first buzzer beater of march madness!  I left the house super pumped ha...almost like winning a big game....but better

Love you!
