Hola Hola Hola!!!
Well you guys are going to be very tired of hearing it, but the time moves so fast! I completed 9 months in the mission this week...still can't believe it! It has been a good week of work.
Elder Barrera and I had a fun companionship inventory at the top of the cerro this week ha. We were walking and he looked super sad and tired so I started to see what was up. He said that there was a lot on his mind and that he would tell me when the day was over. I could tell that he needed to say something, so I told him we weren't moving until he said it. Just then it started to rain, well it started to pour. It made for the most dramatic inventory of all time haha, on top of a mountain in the pouring rain. I had just worn him out, I had been so focused on the work that I had forgot about him and his feelings...and he let me know it ha. I could see that he was mostly right, so we ended it with a hug, and now I talk to him about his feelings more. He is actually just a big ball of feelins haha, a super softy. But I love him.
Our friend Roberto has his baptism date! He will be baptized on the 23rd of march!! We are super excited about it, and so is the ward. We have been inviting everyone and hope that we can use it to get the ward to jump start. Roberto is learning really really fast, and his whole family is supporting him. His grandparents were sealed in the temple like 40 years ago, but they haven't been for over twenty years. But now the grandma is coming with him as well!
Bad news for this week. We had to drop Gloria. There was too much friction with her husband. I have never met someone on the mission that had such a strong spirit. Each time this happens it gets harder and harder, because I feel like the investigators are more prepared than ever, but there is always something that holds them up. Leaving her house I fought back the tears really hard. I am praying that she will be able to follow her desires soon! Knowing that we have a baptism coming up has taken some of the sting of losing her, but man it is hard.
Keep roberto in your prayers! We don't want some crazy thing to happen at the last minute like it always seems to. Love you all! Thank you for all the support!!
